“We’re with a group called Blue Sky Again.

Do you remember the color the sky used to be when you were a kid?”

“Sure I do. But how would you? You’re too young.”

What is a climate model? How do we imagine and model the future?

Inspired by Holly Jean Buck's book After Geoengineering - Climate Tragedy, Repair, and Restoration, I wanted to create a realistic simulation of the effects of stratospheric aerosol injection on the appearance of the sky. Geoengineering can be risky and unpredictable — but perhaps soon, if we continue on our current path of gentle climate politics reliant on emission reductions, it may become a more viable scenario, for better or worse.
